2 steps back

I was doing so good until last weekend! I had almost reached my pre-pregnancy weight but then my in-laws came to visit and then it was Valentine's day. I love my father in law and he knows I love Dr. Pepper and whenever he comes down he gets me one. He got me 2 while he was here and I feel bad so I drink them. It took me awhile and I totally felt yucky but I drank them. Then I was so hungry on Friday, I cleaned liked crazy, that I got a greasy cheeseburger from Chadders (It's basically an In-n-Out) but I resisted the fries and gave them to Brock. I guess I shouldn't feel too bad about the burger cause I couldn't finish it and I gave half to Brock. He's such a good little eater, a pig, but a good eater. Then later on that night I had a BK whopper and their nasty fries. Then Saturday I had the best pizza in the world (Pizza Plus) with breadstiks. After all my hard work I gained 2 pounds! I was so mad. I'm going to be good from here on out though. I know I've said that many times but man Valentine's just kills it. I think I will be ok because I'm going to run a 10K on March 14 in St. George. I know it's like 2 weeks away. I think I will be ok. My friend has confidence in me that I will be ready. I decided to do a race earlier because the one we were going to do in May is a 5K and it lands on a day that Jazmin has a competition. I will run 6 miles tonight so we will see how that goes.

Valentine's Weekend

I had a really good Valentine's Day weekend. Brandon had given me options on what I wanted for Valentine's Day and I said I didn't care. I actually first told him I wanted a Blu-Ray Dvd movie. He decided on going away for the weekend and that was our gifts to each other. He booked a room at Beaver Creek Lodge, that's up by Beaver Mountain and Bear Lake, and with the room it comes as a package to rent snowmobiles. I have never been snowmobiling and I actually wasn't looking forward to it, because I hate hate the snow!!! He told me that we would buy me some clothes so that I would keep warm. So on Friday my in laws took the girls up with them and I would wait for Brandon to get off work and take Brock and the girl's clothes to grandma and grandpa's house. We got there later than we were planning because someone was coming to look at the house so I cleaned like crazy and went out between the times they were coming through. Normally I would have been all packed but cleaning took forever because of my little stinker that gets into everything. I came home around 4 and they still hadn't showed up so I hurried and packed and we got out as fast as we could. We stopped at my in laws to drop off Brock and give them the kids clothes and headed off to Logan to get me warm gear. I was in luck we got my stuff all on sale. I had to get some good boots, some snow pants, glove liners, and I got a cute beenie hat. I was starting to get hungry so I told Brandon let's just get something to go and head up there so we got Burger King and left. Yes, that was my Valentine's Dinner but I was starving and wanted to hurry and get up to the lodge before it go late. We checked in and looked around and fell asleep at 10 pm! We are so old. The next morning we had breakfast at 8, which was not worth $9.00 a plate, and get all geared up for half a day of snowmobiling. I was really nervous because I hate to go fast for fear of flipping the machine and Brandon was way ahead of me so I got a little upset at him. I have no idea where I'm going and all I see around me is like 50 gazillion snowmobile track marks. I had to talk to him to not go so fast and finally we were off to a good start. It was way fun! It was so pretty looking at this mountain all covered with snow. I started to get more comfortable with the speed but I didn't dare get to adventurous. I did get stuck 2 but we got me out. It was fun and I wasn't even cold. The only cold part was my nose but that was it. I didn't get to wear my cute beenie because the lodge provided helmets and we didn't have to get me all that gear because they provide boots and the snow suit if you didn't have any. That's ok because now I have nice warm winter stuff so I can go outside and play with the kids in the snow. Brandon felt a little bad because he thought this was more for him but I said I had fun. We picked the kids up Saturday afternoon and headed home after a quick stop to my parents.

A Night of Excitement

I'm posting this really late because I'm coming down for an exciting night, I got to see the Jazz beat the Lakers tonight and it was awesome! I've been able to have the opportunity to go to some of the jazz games with Brandon's work and they have been really fun. Tonight we got to eat dinner underneath the ESA and I got to see the Jazz players stretch. We did the fan tunnel, and that's where the fans form two lines while the players run between the fans and I got to give high fives to the players. The last time I did this was like 3 years ago and totally felt stupid because it seemed like they were annoyed that we were doing this tunnel for them. I understand if we were kids but grown adults, I'm sure they didn't think that was cool. Well I didn't get one player to give me high five that time but this time I got a couple of them. I got Ronnie Price, Kyle Korver (I know), Milsap, and I can't remember who else. Deron Williams and Matt Harpring didn't give my hand the time of day or night I should say. It was way exciting this time around. As we were heading up to our seats I heard there was a famous person and I squeezed my little body to see him and got a picture by him. You will have to see who it is. It was a way fun game and I totally enjoyed it. I'm glad the Jazz won the Lakers! I'm hoping they get back on track to win some games for a spot on the playoffs. Go Jazz!

Pictures of dinner. There were many Lakers fans.

Picture of Kyle Korver stretching. The players have massive long legs. I wasn't allowed to get any closer so sorry so far and dark.

On the court getting ready for the players to run through

Pretty neat huh

4 years

I just realized that sometime this week or next, can't remember the exact date, but it's been 4 years since we have lived in our house. I remember thinking I got the best Valentine's Day gift in the world, my house, and I was so excited being able to have a place of our own. We moved everything all in one day with the help of my dad, Lyle (father in law), Rachelle (sister in law), and Rachelle's boyfriend back then. It was such a nice day in Utah county but snowing up North. When we got here our wonderful neighbors, The Tyler's and Stones, helped us move things in. I've had such great memories in this house and I totally love the neighborhood. It's such a quiet street and I love how all the kids to play in each others yards. I really don't ever worry about where the girls are because I know they are playing with such nice kids. It saddens me when we have to move from this neighborhood. I know I'm not going to find a better one than this but who knows we may find one that's better. I doubt it though. Happy 4 years!

Shining Star

I am so proud of Jazmin! Last night we went to Jazmin's parent teacher conference and her teacher said she is so sweet and loves having her. Jazmin is doing excellent in school and has reached the reading level that they want the kindergartners to be at by the end of the year! She is such a helpful little girl and tries her best to do things. She has finally somewhat perfected her cartwheels and she always tries her best in doing new things. She always wants to try new things and she gets the biggest smile when she does something new. I love her and am proud of all that she does. I love you Jazmin!

I also want to let my hubby know how much I love him. He is the best and he knows how hard I try to be a good mommy and a good wife. I've been under the weather lately and yesterday he sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. They are gorgeous! The girls were so excited that dad sent mom flowers. It's not very fun to be sick and a mom at the same time. I want to be done being sick and go on and take care of my family. I will have to post a picture of my flowers next post

Superbowl Overload

I really don't like watching football and I really could care less who goes or wins the Superbowl. The only thing that I like to do is 1)predict to Brandon what 2 teams are going to play each other (I was right but I didn't predict Arizona was heading to the Superbowl) 2)Predict who is going to win (I was right again for the 2nd year) 3)Chat with friends (wives) 4)Eat the food. Let me tell you there was lots of food and even more desserts. I was so stuffed. Let's just say the diet went out the window that day. I honestly thought I was going to explode! We had fun and the best part was we didn't have that much leftovers, yay.

When my in laws came over to help me while Brock was sick my father in law was so sick. I felt bad because I think he got Brock's virus. Well Brandon ended up feeling really sick Saturday night. I could hear his teeth just chattering away because he was getting the chills. I had to get up and go give him another blanket, which is unlike Brandon he never needs two blankets. He wasn't feeling the best on Superbowl but he wanted to go. Well Monday comes around and guess who starts feeling sick, ME. I feel like crap today. I'm so tired after getting ready even typing this blog is making me really tired. This is not fun what so ever. I'm hoping this gets out of my system really fast because it sucks being sick and being a stay at home mom. I just want to sleep forever and wake up when I'm all better.
