1st haircut

I've been bugging Brandon about cutting Brock's hair and he finally did it today. I originally wanted him to do a little mo hawk but then I changed my mind in the middle of the hair cutting procedure. I couldn't handle the whole mo hawk on him and it was so much hair being cut off. I was so sad. I kept telling Brandon not to mess up. I was making him mad I think cause I changed my mind about his hair cut. It didn't turn out too bad. Brock moved a lot so it's not the perfect line but that's ok, he still looks cute.

Before his hair is all cut off.

Paradise

It's official we are heading to Hawaii in April! Brandon booked the plane tickets this morning I'm so pumped. The only sad thing is that we will be in Hawaii over Easter. We are going to miss Brock's first Easter and the Easter egg hunts that we love to see them do. It's sad :(, but oh well I'll get over it. I just have to make sure that the Easter bunny gets to grandma and grandpa's house with lots of goodies to make up for us being gone. I can't wait, April better get here fast!

Ahhh....Relief

Yeah Brock is finally is getting better. He is sleeping a little bit better. I still have to get up with him and have him sleep with me in the recliner in the middle of the night but that's better than all night. My wonderful in-laws came down Sunday night to help out and it has helped. It's been so nice to go shopping and not take him along dealing with a fussy baby. The girls love it when grandma and grandpa stay over for a couple of days.

I've been really good with my diet. I haven't had a Dr. Pepper for 2 going on 3 weeks now! I haven't had any sweets except for on Saturday and that was my free day. I'm starting to feel like I want to crack though but I've resisted. It's so hard because I'm craving a nice yummy cookie, or doughnut, juicy hamburger and a big ol slice of pizza. I'm having a hard time with wanting to finish my runs but I still do it. I just think "Hawaii" this had been pretty hard because it's cold outside and you don't want to do anything else but eat yummy things. I can do it.

Sleepless in Eagle Mountain

I am so crossing my fingers that Brock will be able to have a good night sleep tonight. I don't know if I will be able to handle another sleepless night. He is so sick he hasn't been able to have a good nights sleep since Thursday night. I took him into the ER Friday at 3 am because I swear he only got 1 1/2 of sleep after 10 pm. I laid him down with us in bed and he just tossed around and pinched me. Little booger pinches hard too! His oxygen level was great they just suctioned out his little noise and I felt bad cause he screamed and screamed, but feel asleep in my arms 15 mins. after they were done. I was so tired on Friday and then Friday night I had Brock sleep with me in the recliner and that seemed to work it took awhile though. I hope he starts feeling better really soon, but I think Jazmin is starting to get sick now. It never ends. I feel like I have a newborn with the amount of sleep I'm getting.

So Tired

Brock is so sick that he hasn't been going down for his naps too well. I let him cry and he sits up and moves around in his crib. This is how I found him when he finally fell asleep.

I had to wake him up so that we can pick up Mariah though. He is going to be grumpy boy for the next couple of hours. I'm hoping he will go down after getting Jazmin so I can rest. I'm exhausted after last night!

No Sleep For Me

I'm hoping that I will be able to get some sleep but since Brock has RSV I need to give a treatment every 4 hours. I just gave him one about 15 mins. ago and the machine is so stinkin loud of course it's going to wake him up. I can hear him awake in his crib right now so I'm hoping he will go back to sleep. The next time I have to give him his treatment is 2 am! I hope this goes good. I totally love my nebulizer it's been a good investment for us but it's so loud. I had to get one when Jazmin was 14 months because she had double pneumonia and Mariah has asthma so we totally needed one. I can tell this is going to be a long night he's playing with his bink right now. He's such a stinker.

Poor Little Brock

The last week Brock has had a runny nose so I figured it was from his I tooth that is coming in. As the days went on I was like ok maybe a sinus infection but then a cough moved in along with a wheezing sound. I told Brandon I think I'm going to take him to the doctors. I called and got him in and I told him his symptoms. Brock has RSV. The doctor told me it was going around and I didn't even know. I should have because it's around every year about this time. I don't go anywhere except for church, grocery store, and gymnastics. It's so freakin scary cause he is breathing really hard and if he has a hard time I need to take him to the hospital so they can suction all that gunk that is in his lungs. I'm planning on not being around anyone for 2 weeks because I don't want other babies getting this nasty virus. I ran into a friend at the store and she told me 4 kids in the neighborhood has RSV. It's so hard because he is so sick and all he wants is to be picked up but not really. I will hold him but he wants to be put down. He is such an independent little thing right now. I miss my little baby that loved to cuddly. I can't get Brock to cuddle with me anymore. I'm hoping he doesn't get bad where we have to hospitalize him cause that will totally suck. I'm trying to stay away from hospitals this year.

Oh the Cravings

I am trying to be sooo good in eating a little bit healthier and working out everyday but it's so hard. I love my Dr. Pepper and when I need a little bit of a pick me up or the kids are driving me crazy I head over to the gas station and buy one, but not anymore. Oh no I grab a bottled water instead. It's not the same but I'm trying really hard not to drink pop until after May or June. Why do you ask? I'm trying to stay in shape and look halfway decent for Hawaii and I'm trying to get ready for a 10K in May. I'm doing good so far so that's good.

The work out things is very hard because I hate heading to the gym when it's freezing cold. I would rather be all wrapped up in a blanket watching t.v. instead. I'm going though and I'm pretty proud of myself. Brandon is also motivating me when I don't want to go workout. It's really hard to go work out especially when I go in the evening because Brandon gets home so freakin late. Last week I ran 3 miles and it was 9 pm when I left my house to head to the gym blah.

I'm pretty proud of Brandon too because he is being really good about his diet. He hasn't had pop and he is eating healthier and smaller portions. He already lost like 10 lbs in a week! I don't think I lost 5 lbs. I hate him.

And the decision is.....

The last time I posted something I had a decision to make and the decision is....Hawaii. I'm so pumped! Brandon and I have talked about and it and decided enough pushing this trip off let's go. Jazmin seems to be fine with it she's pretty pumped to go to Disneyland for her birthday in November, and I have to bring her lots of souvenirs back from Hawaii fair trade. I'm so motivated to get back into shape so I've been hitting the gym everyday so far (yeah). I think we made a good decision now we need to get prepared because April will be here soon enough.

Decision, Decision

I need a little help here, cause I've got to make a solid decision by tomorrow. Jazmin made the competition team at her dance company and they got invited to dance at Disneyland over spring break. Brandon and I have been planning a trip to Hawaii and figured this year would be the perfect year to go, but it would be over spring break. We have taken the kids to Disneyland every year since 2006 (we didn't go last year) but we have never been to Hawaii and I've always wanted to go to Hawaii. I know that Disneyland will be crowded because of spring break but she really wants to go. This morning when I talked to her about not going to Disneyland in April but in November for her birthday she was heart broken. I try to let my kids experience things that is a great opportunity in life for them, but what about us, the parents who sacrifice little things for their kids. I don't know what to do. I want Jazmin to go and dance but I also want to go to Hawaii, help!

So much Junk

Ok so I said that I was going to take a picture of Brock's new bed well that hasn't happened yet as you can see. I'm trying to re arrange his room right now and I realized how much crap we have. I just want to DI everything. How did it get to this! So far Brock's room is looking good I just have to move the toys in the basement. Brandon didn't want to get rid of the guest room so we compromised and decided to put down some carpet, and get a couple of space heaters and put all the toys down there. It shouldn't be bad with some space heaters. It will be nice cause now I don't have to hear all the fighting and screaming that little girls do when they play. I'm hoping to get Brock's room semi done by this week so hopefully I can put up pictures then. He totally has so much room to wiggle all he wants to now. I'm a little nervous cause he pulled himself up on the couch so I'm scared for when he walks. If he's this busy crawling I can't imagine him walking. I'm learning how different having a boy is compared to girls-a lot! I love it though, it keeps me on my toes.

New Bed

I'm blogging really late right now because I'm so excited for Brock. He finally got a crib today! I know he's almost 1, still in his bassinet and finally in a crib. We gave our crib to the D.I. a couple of summers ago because it was ancient, 12 years old. The crib use to belong to my brother and then my sister had it for my niece, which she didn't use, and then I got it when I had Jazmin. It was really nice back then because we didn't have to buy a crib, a car seat, crib bedding, you name it and it was either hand me down or a baby shower gift. The price of the crib, mattress, and bedding was a little shocking to Brandon but now my little man has a comfy place to lay and I don't have to worry about him falling out of the bassinet. I will show you pictures when it's up, hopefully tomorrow. For now goodnight

I don't feel like it...

Ok I know it's been awhile since my last post but I have just been tired and don't feel like doing anything but take naps. Monday was the first day back to the ol' routine and boy has it kicked my butt so far. On the break I was use to sleeping til 8 and having my mother in law watch the kids while we slept but now totally regretting that. I'm getting up early but by the afternoon I'm tired and ready to take a nap. I still have to get my house back in order and I just don't feel like doing it. I do the laundry but it piles right back up again, vacuum the house and it's dirty at the end of the day, dust I don't even want to talk about that (I hate dusting) It's just never ending but that's part of being a stay at home mom is making sure everything is decent. There are days where I just don't want to do anything but I still do it because I can't stand the house a mess. I deserve to have a "I just don't feel like it day", right.?

I was looking at the calendar and I can't believe how fast this week has gone and the next thing you know Jan. is over. We will be so busy starting next month; Jazmin has competitions from Feb-May, Brock's b-day, and Disneyland. It's going to fly by. I just can't believe Brock will be 1 in 2 months! I seriously felt like I was pregnant for eternity and now the year has flown right by. I swear the more kids you have time flies by so fast and they grow right before your eyes. When I had Jazmin time didn't fly by fast. I got to enjoy her and just have fun with her, until I got pregnant with Mariah and that's where it flew. I just can't believe that the school year is coming to a end in May and Jazmin will be in 1st grade and Mariah in kindergarten. Wow!

I took Brock to his 9 month check up today and he is in the 98% for height 31 inches, and 58% for weight 21 lbs. The doctor said he's a chunky 9 month old and I was huh I've seen way more chunkier 9 month old babies than Brock. He obviously hasn't seen pictures of Jazmin when she was 9 months she was chunky. Brock also had to get 2 shots and he is so tough he didn't even cry. He did a little whimper after the second shot but that was for like a second and he was over it. I'm so proud of my little tough guy.

I think I've pretty much said enough in this blog to make up for the last couple of days.

2 Old Farts

Happy New Year! I have posted this picture of me and Brandon to let you all know that we are 2 old, lame, ducks. This is how we spent our new year's: we went to dinner, we settled for good old Porters in Lehi, everywhere else was a 2 hr wait for a party of 8 and 2 high chairs, went for dessert at Kneaders, which was awesome cause we didn't have to stand in a huge line the place was all ours, went to a friends house to pick up some things and then headed home. I put Brock to bed, and got the girls ready for bed and let them watch t.v. in their room while we watched a movie. I fell asleep while watching the movie around 11 pm and then Brandon and I head upstairs and never made it to midnight. Yeah that's how we spend our New Year's Eve just about every year. It's kind of tough when you have 3 kids and a baby that gets tired about 6:30-7 pm so it's not like we can go over someone's house and hang out. I told Brandon we need to do something cool next year he wants to go to some cabin and our friend wants to go to Oregon. It would be neat to go somewhere next year but if not, oh well we can't make it to midnight anyways.

New Year's is here so with that comes new year's resolutions. Brandon and I made some goals last year and some of them where achieved and some not but those can be carried on to this year. I really would love to get back into shape like how I was when I was doing boot camp. I felt so good about myself and I was so toned. So as of Monday it's back to the gym and eating a little bit healthier. I really want to be more patient with my kids. I'm hoping that this year I will be able to accomplish what goals I make if not I won't stress to much. I just want to be able to have a healthy family this year and no more scares!

There is one or two resolutions that have already been accomplished 1)basement got cleaned out today, yeah, and 2)Brock started crawling. Yup my little boy took his first crawl steps today. It was really cute and funny because he just was screaming his head off. I think he thinks he's not really going anywhere or he just wants to be picked up. I'm not sure if it's a good thing he's crawling because now I'm going to be that much more busy trying to get him out of trouble.

I hope everyone had a good new year's eve and hope that this year bring much joy and happiness.
