Poor Little Brock

The last week Brock has had a runny nose so I figured it was from his I tooth that is coming in. As the days went on I was like ok maybe a sinus infection but then a cough moved in along with a wheezing sound. I told Brandon I think I'm going to take him to the doctors. I called and got him in and I told him his symptoms. Brock has RSV. The doctor told me it was going around and I didn't even know. I should have because it's around every year about this time. I don't go anywhere except for church, grocery store, and gymnastics. It's so freakin scary cause he is breathing really hard and if he has a hard time I need to take him to the hospital so they can suction all that gunk that is in his lungs. I'm planning on not being around anyone for 2 weeks because I don't want other babies getting this nasty virus. I ran into a friend at the store and she told me 4 kids in the neighborhood has RSV. It's so hard because he is so sick and all he wants is to be picked up but not really. I will hold him but he wants to be put down. He is such an independent little thing right now. I miss my little baby that loved to cuddly. I can't get Brock to cuddle with me anymore. I'm hoping he doesn't get bad where we have to hospitalize him cause that will totally suck. I'm trying to stay away from hospitals this year.

I know exactly what you are going through. Ean had RSV and we had to rush him to the hospital one night because he couldn't breath! It is scarey. Now, whenever our kids sound or get stuffy, we go into the bathroom, close the door and turn on the shower, HOT, and the steam really does a great job clearing it up. We have also bought Vick's vapor rub and put it on their chest and feet (on the feet helps with the cough, then put socks on). You could also try the the baby/kids saline drops. Those clear up a bit too. We also got a vaporizer, but I don't know how much that helped. That is my advice. Good luck... poor little guy. :(
