Having a little more confidence

Finally, Brock is walking! Well, he's walking a lot more let's just say that. It use to be that he would walk but the moment someone would see him he would fall. It was like he didn't want me to know that he could walk because he wants me to carry him around all the time. Today he has been getting up and walking around. I just hope now he will just want to walk instead of crawl. I know I can't believe I just said that. I might be taking it all back after I'm tired of chasing after him. I'm proud of him though. It has only taken 2 months after his birthday, but hey he finally did it.

I am finally done with the yard. I finished planting all the flowers in the front yard, well expect for the rose bush but Brandon can do that. I planted the garden this evening so I think we are all set. Brandon told me he would plant the bush in the backyard and replant the rose bush for me. I'm hoping this year our garden grows. It didn't last year and that was thanks to the kids probably dumping weed n feed in the garden box. We couldn't figure why our garden didn't grow and finally decided that has to be it. It was Brandon who left the weed n feed out by the garden box so technically we can blame him, right.?

I am running a 5K next Saturday and I might be running a 10K the week after the 5K. I haven't signed up for the 10K yet but I'm pretty sure I will. I actually like to run as odd as that sounds. It's how I have lost all my weight and I feel really good about myself and it helps me to unwind a bit. I have actually liked running outside rather than on the treadmill. I can't believe I ran 6 miles on the treadmill! It took all of me to do that, but outside not a big deal. I haven't ran 6 miles outside yet but I will next week and I will see how I do. I think I want to run a 1/2 marathon by the end of this year. We will see though. That's a goal in my life to accomplish is running a 1/2 marathon so eventually I will run one.

Mariah is all done with school and this is Jazmin's last week of school. She only has tomorrow and Friday and she is done. This week is a good week because I'm not running around like I normally do. The girls are all done with gymnastics, and dance. We will have their dance recital on Saturday and after that no more dance til the fall. It's a good break for them, although they are going to do a cheer class over the summer. I asked if they wanted to and they said yes. I figure it's a good workout time for them and they can develop more skills they may need if they want to purse dance more. I have such girlie girls, I love it.

Catching Up

It's been awhile since I've posted anything and that's the weather to blame. It's been so nice outside everyday that by the time I'm ready to go to bed I'm too tired to blog. So here's a little catch up.

The last time I left off I had girls weekend with just me and the girls at Jazmin's last competition. Oh it was just one of those days. Jazmin was a little emotional and Mariah kept complaining how hungry she was but she just wanted junk food. The competition was running 30 minutes behind and the dressing room, which happened to be the cafeteria was soo hot! Jazmin's team placed 1st in the ballet and 3rd in their jazz routine. That was pretty good considering they didn't rehearse before they went on. This was a big competition and it was nationals. The girls did great. It was the last competition of the year, yay, and now we are getting ready for the recital. Jazmin has been such an amazing little dancer this year and Mariah will get the opportunity to try out for the team next year if she wants to dance. She could try out in June but I want her to want to go to dance and not complain about it. We've had a little problems this year with some complaining, but she likes to dance. I can see her as a ballerina because she is so stinkin little.

Today was Mariah's last day of preschool and Jazmin's kindergarten program. As I was recording her program I started to get a little teary eyed. I didn't cry but eyes were starting to fill up. I just can't believe I'm going to have a 1st grader and a kindergartner next year. Brandon told me we are officially old.

I'm not too sure what our plans are for this holiday weekend. We are thinking about camping but we will see. I just want to make sure my flowers get planted and my garden is in. We have been so busy the last couple of weekends that we just haven't had time. Brandon told me we can do flowers and garden on Monday so we better. I'm just excited about the wonderful weather we are having. Let's just hope it stays like this from here on out. Cross fingers.

Just the Girls

Today is a day were it's just me and my girls. It's Jazmin's last competition today and seeing how Brock isn't very good at the competition I asked Brandon if he could take Brock. So I'm taking the girls and Brandon is taking Brock up North with him to pick up the 4-wheelers. It's going to be nice to actually see the competition without trying to calm a very fussy baby. He got up early this morning, 6 a.m.! He knows what today is. Lil stinker.

Ah Crap

We have had our house up on the market since Jan of this year and between now and then we have had a total of 2 people look at our house. The Realtor usually gives me either a day in advance or a couple hours notice whenever anyone wants to come through. Well I usually clean my house on Thursday because both the girls are in school and Brock is taking his nap so it works out perfect for me. I decided that our lawn is looking like a jungle so I decided I will mow it because Brandon hasn't done it and garbage pick up is tomorrow. I mow it and by the time I'm done it's time to get Mariah. It was such a beautiful day that I decided to do some yard work to get ready to plant flowers. I know I'm a little behind in planting my flowers but we have been so busy every weekend this month. I get Jazmin make lunch vacuum a little downstairs and head outside to pull weeds. It's gymnastics day today so we leave our house at 2:30 to be there by 3 p.m. I drop Mariah off and drive off to grab a snack for Brock. I get a call from the Realtor and he says someone wants to see our house in 20 to 30 mins. I'm like you have got to be kidding me! My house is a disaster! I told him that it's fine but I'm not home and my house is messy. I hurry and call my neighbor and ask her if she can run over to my house because I had left a bra on my bed. My kind neighbor goes over there and cleans my house just a bit. She gets the bra off my bed and picks up my kitchen. I was thankful that I made my bed and picked up my room though. I'm not sure what they people thought of it but I was so embarrassed because my house is clean when someone is coming over. Well as clean as it gets with 3 kids and all. I figure oh well that's what they get for not giving a notice of any sort. They were in the neighborhood looking at other houses and they wanted to see our house, I guess.

I have to say I have such good neighbors. My neighborhood, who happens to be pregnant was so kind enough to do that for me. I couldn't ask for better neighbors than the ones I've got. Thank you, thank your kind neighbors and all the others that are in my neighborhood.

Selling a house really isn't that fun. I have learned my lesson and I am making sure that it's clean before I head out the door.

Pictures

Here are a few pictures of last week. Mariah had her cute mother's day program at preschool. They sang two songs and she gave me a little radish plant and a card she made. Jazmin also had a mother's day program in her class. They sang song, gave their moms crowns that they made, we had cookies and water, and we got to watch a little slide show that her teacher made for all us moms. Brandon gave me my mother's day gift early on Friday, he can never wait until the day. He gave me a new flat iron, and a basket of cookies. Saturday morning we got up early and headed off to Lagoon for Jazmin's dance competition. I had to get up at 5 a.m. get all ready, wake Jazmin up, do her hair, do Mariah's hair and feed them breakfast. We were out the door by 7 a.m. and got to Lagoon at 8 a.m.! It was very cold but it warmed up as the day went on. Jazmin's little dance team took 1st place in both their dances. Good job girls! We took the kids on a couple of rides and Jazmin rode the white roller coaster for the first time and didn't shed a tear. I was really proud of her. She rode two big kids rides; white roller coaster, and the tidal wave. We ate at Golden Corral with Tobey and Silene on Saturday night for our Mother's Day dinner. It was good since I had a really burned hamburger at Lagoon and that was all I had. It was crazy busy but we got their before the rush. After church we raced up north to spend the day with my family at the park in Brigham. It was nice to see all of my family their. I had a really good Mother's Day and I am proud to be a mommy of 3! I love it!

Mother's Day

"There are no ways to be a perfect mother...but a million ways to be a good mother."

Happy Mother's Day and I hope everyone had a good day today. I am a little tired so I will blog more about the weekend another day.

Little Humor

I was having such a bad day today and Brandon e-mailed me this forward. I thought it was pretty funny and it put a smile on my face for the time being. Thanks for that Brandon. Sorry if this offends any of you, because of the swear word.

Yay, I ran 3 miles this evening. It's been awhile since I've ran (2 weeks) and I need to get back into if I'm going to run next month. I'm a little nervous though because now my left knee is giving me problems. I was running and my knee started to hurt. Every now and then my knee cap will make a popping sound when I walk so that's not too good. I talked to my friend and she told me it's something and it's common for runner's to get this. It was a big long trainer word, but she told me that I can get like a knee brace and it should work. I can't believe I'm falling apart.

Tomorrow we have someone coming to see our house and my it shouldn't take me too long to finish cleaning. All I have is to dust, mop the kitchen and vacuum one more time. It's such a pain to sell a house. No matter how much vacuuming, dusting, moping, etc. I do it's back to being a mess within a couple of minutes. Ah the joys of having children..
