Catching up

It's been awhile since I've posted anything up so I need to catch you all up on what's been going on.

On March 28th Jazmin had her first competition at The Barn at Thanksgiving point. We had to be there at 9 a.m. and she would perform at 9:30 a.m and then back on again around 10 a.m. I thought there jazz costume was so cute it was a pink tutu like thing (pictures will be posted). Their first dance was horrible! They were all off and they didn't get to their ending pose in time (music was over). I think they just got a little nervous. Their second dance was awesome. It was there ballet number and it was tonz better. They ended up placing 1st in their ballet number and 2nd in their jazz. I was a little shocked about the 2nd place because of how bad they did. Jazmin was so excited to get a medal (everyone got one) and she was pumped to receive her 1st and 2nd place ribbons at dance on Monday. Her next competition is at the end of the month and that will be in Spanish Fork and she is excited for that because she gets a trophy at that competition, so she says.

Later on that day we went to Asuka (my favorite Japanese grill restaurant) for my sister in law's birthday. My in laws were in town and my brother in law and nephews were there because the boys had a wrestling tournament in Heber, and my other sister in law and brother in law all went to lunch. It was way fun. We love the chef that always cooks our food for us and he is so much fun. The best part was when my brother in law caught the shrimp in his mouth, because he is not a fan of shrimp what so ever. I was so proud of him for being such a good sport. Everybody loved the food so that was good.

I'm getting a little nervous because next Saturday is my 10K race. It came by so fast! I hope I am able to finish the race. I got new shoes so hopefully that helps my aching arches. I think I will be fine. It's just a little nerve wrecking because I've never ran a race before, well except for track in high school but that was 10 years ago! Wow, I'm getting old!

Brock is finally getting over his ear infections, but he has now caught the stomach flu that is going around. I am ready for sick season to be over with.

Mariah is doing great. She still has her Rapunzel hair (that's what I call it), and she is in a new gymnastic class. I was a little nervous at first because it's no longer the tot class it's a big kid class. She surprised me when she walked on the beam with no help. I get a little nervous for her because she is so little I'm afraid she is going to hurt herself but she always proves me wrong.

I will post pictures up of Jazmin's competition at a later time but now I hear my stink bug crying (after a 20 min nap) so got to go see if he will go back down again, but I doubt it.
