Quick Post

Ok so I told you that I would post something up but I have been lazy and our internet was down and was really ticking me off. So I figured that since I'm on Brandon's laptop I would hurry and let you all know what has been going on. I thought that this summer would be a pretty lame summer for the kids and we wouldn't be able to do NOTHING but I've been wrong. We have actually had a pretty good summer so far (I would like to think that). It all began in June when my mom asked me if I wanted to go with her to Arizona and see my sister. I told her yes and we left on June 23 and stayed there for 3 days. It was fun. We drove and it wasn't that bad of a drive. My mom had bought some snacks so we didn't have to stop to get something to eat or drink cause it was all packed in her expedition. While we were in Bullhead, Arizona we swam at my sister's pool in her apartment complex, went to the town of Oatman and fed the donkeys, went on a boat tour down the Colorado river, and had lots of fun there. My mom made reservations for all of us at a hotel in Vegas so after my sister got out of work on Friday we went to Vegas. It's only 1 1/2 drive so that's not too bad. We got all checked in and walked the strip. I have walked the strip in Vegas and the heat has always been way too hot to even walked 1/2 block but this wasn't bad. The day we walked the strip there was a slight breeze so that made in bearable to walked down the strip. We stopped at the M &M store, the Coke store, watched the water show at the Belagio, saw the tigers at MGM Grand, and went inside the Forum shops at Ceasar's Palace. Now we have 4 adults with us my brother who is 13, and 6 kids that walked a mile and were all wearing flip flops so needless to say we had some tears saying that their feet hurt and they were tired. We all crashed by the time we got back to our hotel. The next day we went to the swamp meet and that was fun but it was very hot that day. Our little Arizona/Las Vegas trip was pretty fun and I'm glad that I was able to go and visit my sister and the kids oh and my brother in law.

We have gone to parks where the kids are able to get wet and  have fun. All 3 kids went up to Grandma and Grandpa Godfrey's house for 3 days and it was soo nice to have peace and quiet. I could actually clean my house and have it cleaned for more than 30 minutes. I was able to do errands without hearing any whining. It was soo nice.

I am still training for my full marathon. I have 2 months left of this insane amount of running. I officially signed up today so now I am fully committed to it. I told Brandon that I'm not running these miles for nothing so I better sign up. My friend and I just ran the longest we had ever ran last week and it wasn't too bad. We just had to run earlier because it's been sooo hot. I'm getting nervous for our 18 and 20 mile run but we will be able to do it.
