Tired!

Ok so I've been training for a full marathon now for the last 15 weeks or so and let me tell you I am exhausted! I've always heard people saying that training for a full marathon is tiring and takes a lot of time. Well I pulled up a training schedule and it didn't seem that bad, after all the most I have to run during the week is 10 miles I can handle that. I am eating my words now. I am so tired and I have no more motivation to run during the week anymore. With all the running I'm doing I thought that I would at least lose a little weight-NOTHING! I have gained a little and my shorts don't fit around my legs and my bum seems like it's gotten bigger. Not sure if this is all worth it to say the least.
I go up north every weekend so I can run my long runs with a friend and if it weren't for her I don't think that I could do this. I am shocked how far I am pushing my body and I'm pretty proud of myself. I never in a million years thought that I would ever run a full marathon and look what I'm doing. We ran 18 miles on Saturday and it wasn't too bad. There were times where I thought that my legs where going to die on me but I was fine. We did have fun on the last 3 miles because of all a sudden we ran into a bunch of women running and walking and wondered what was going on. When we went around a corner and saw more women running we wondered if it was some kind of race. My friend decided to ask one of the runner's if this was a race but whenever she would ask someone they kept cheering us on and giving us high fives. It was too funny because we weren't part of whatever they were part of and they kept cheering us on when they would pass by us. We saw a lady at their turn around point and decided we would ask her. After getting high fives and wooo's my friend busted out in laughter and we had to stop to walk. While we were walking the lady at the turn around point was saying "C'mon ladies you're almost there." and it was funny. We told her we weren't a part of this and asked if this was a race and she said yes. We told her we were on mile 16 and she was like well then I will cheer for you. The lady then asked us how many more miles we had left and said 2. It was pretty funny and it got us through the last 2 miles. I cannot wait til this is all over and I can finally be done running really long runs and go back to running no more than 6 miles and when my legs go down so that my pants will fit around my legs for the fall. Almost done !

I run at a park here in Okinawa. One day, I was running (with the double stroller of course) and there was a race at the park. The Japanese people were cheering me on and talking about how cute the girls were. It made me laugh, but I really enjoyed the cheering as I was running up the big hills.
